Villa renovation and extension in Pertuis
Rethinking the whole home, opening up the living spaces and adding a 15 m² utility room extension, with tradespeople selected to fit the budget.
The client’s brief
The client wanted to completely modernise the interior of their home: build an extension to add a utility room, create three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living room open to the kitchen. A fireplace, underfloor heating and a swimming pool completed this renovation and extension project.
My role as a building works broker
Working with the architect and the client, I presented a complete dossier with tradespeople selected for the different work packages in line with the client’s budget. The aim was to give the client a clear view of the proposed services and contractors to bring the project to life.
The scope of work
- Design and approval of the proposed extension.
- Interior strip-out and a new room layout with new partitions.
- Opening up the living room and kitchen with the installation of a steel beam.
- Creating three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
- Insulation and new aluminium windows and external doors.
- Installation of a fireplace and underfloor heating.
- Timber decking and swimming pool construction.
- Construction of a 15 m² extension for use as a utility room.
A project prepared with the client and architect
The transformation involved reorganising the interior layout, opening up the living spaces and adding an extension to the villa. My contribution, working alongside the client and architect, was to present tradespeople suited to the project and its budget.
